Making your first steps in coding, with Danny Thompson

Q&A with Danny Thompson from Google.
Danny Thompson is currently working in Developer Relations at Google. He is a software engineer who has previously spent ten years as a fry cook at a gas station. Today, he creates resources and organizes communities helping others succeed by learning to code and landing their first developer jobs.

In this Q&A Danny answers questions about picking your first programming language, choosing projects and learning how to present them, and creating an elevator pitch to communicate your value - even if you’re coming from an unrelated field. He also talks about finding a community online and choosing the next steps in your new career.
